This draft of the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) presents the results for the 2021/2022 fiscal year, from the States utilization of funds from U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the following programs: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grants Program (ESG), Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA), & the National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF).

The State of Georgia is accepting public comment through September 28, 2022.  

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING GEORGIA HOUSING AND FINANCE AUTHORITY

August 18, 2022 - Notice is hereby given by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs of the amending of the FFY2022 for the State of Georgia Community Development Block Grant Method of Distribution. The proposed amendment involves modifications to the allocation of funds and the scope of the Innovative Grant Program Set-Aside. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive citizen comments on the proposed amendment.

The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) was charged with identifying and designating providers to deliver training to Regional Industrial Development Authorities, as established by the Georgia General Assembly during the 2022 legislative session through House Bill 1044. Regional Industrial Development Authorities were created to provide additional incentives to businesses locating within industrial parks developed through the cooperation of multiple counties, as evidenced by revenue and cost-sharing agreements in a regional industrial park.

This will be a virtual meeting held via Webex.

Commissioner Christopher Nunn announced today nine (9) awards for communities to implement innovative downtown redevelopment projects throughout rural Georgia. The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) provided the grants under a special allocation of funding in the Amended FY2022 State of Georgia Budget (H.B. 910).

One of the programs of AmeriCorps, AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC), is a full-time, residential, national service program whose mission is to strengthen communities and develop leaders through direct, team- based national and community service. AmeriCorps NCCC teams are assigned 3-6 service projects throughout their 10-month service term, primarily in the states or territories within their region.
