State Officials Award $43 Million in Grants to 60 Communities

Atlanta, GA Governor Brian Kemp announced today that sixty local governments will be awarded more than $43 million in Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) to help improve their communities.  The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) allocated the annual funds to Georgia’s CDBG program, which is administered by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. 

Notice is hereby given by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs of a proposed Substantial Amendment to the Federal FY2019 Annual Action Plan. The proposed amendment involves a supplemental allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus (CDBG-CV grants). The purpose of the public hearing is to receive citizen comments on the CDBG-CV Substantial Amendment.

Notice is hereby given that the OneGeorgia Authority will hold public hearings in accordance with the Administrative Procedures Act, O.C.G.A. §50-13-1, et seq. The hearings will afford all interested persons reasonable opportunity to provide data, views, or arguments regarding proposed rules for the Rural Innovation Fund program (Rules of the OneGeorgia Authority, Chapter 413-5, et seq.).

A virtual public hearing will be held from 9:00AM- 9:30AM on September 8, 2021 by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs.

ATLANTA (August 6, 2020) – Governor Brian Kemp announced today that Georgia has received $3,711,928 in AmeriCorps funding from the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency responsible for AmeriCorps and other national service programs.
