The U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has provided the State of Georgia with $41,837,000 in disaster recovery funds for unmet needs to assist in recovery efforts from Hurricane Michael. Of the $41,837,000 awarded to the State of Georgia, DCA will allocate $13,948,456.00 to the CDBG-DR Infrastructure Program. Projects funded under this program may include, but are not limited to, water/sewer/stormwater, streets/bridges, drainage systems, and facilities.
 
Eligible Counties:
MID Zip Codes Areas: Dougherty County (31705), Decatur County (39819), Seminole County (39845)
 
Non-MID Areas: Baker, Calhoun, Clay, Crisp, Decatur, Dougherty, Early, Grady, Laurens, Lee, Miller, Mitchell, Randolph, Seminole, Sumter, Terrell, Thomas, Tift, Turner and Worth
 
Eligibility Requirements:
• Direct tie back to the storm (DR-4400) Hurricane Michael
• Meet a LMI National Objective

On or after August 18, 2022, DCA will submit a request to HUD for the release of Community Development Block Grant- Disaster Recovery (“CDBG-DR”) funds for the 2018 Homeowner Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Program, which is authorized by Federal Register Notice 85 FR 4681 (January 20, 2020). This Program will serve the following 20 counties: Baker, Calhoun, Clay, Crisp, Decatur, Dougherty, Early, Grady, Laurens, Lee, Miller, Mitchell, Randolph, Seminole, Sumter, Terrell, Thomas, Tift, Turner and Worth.
In order to comply with federal requirements, Tier I Environmental Reviews were conducted in the Most Impacted and Distressed (“MID”) counties, which are Decatur, Dougherty, and Seminole. The environmental review records and combined notices for each of the counties can be found below.
