El Departamento de Asuntos Comunitarios (DCA) del Estado de Georgia propone modificar su actual Año Fiscal Federal (FFY) 2018 / Año Fiscal Estatal (SFY) 2019 Método de Distribución (MOD) y proponer un nuevo FFY 2019 / SFY 2020 MOD para los programas estatales sin-privilegios de subvención en bloque de desarrollo comunitario (CDBG). El MOD afecta la Competencia Anual CDBG, el Programa de Incentivos al Empleo (EIP) de CDBG, el Programa de Fondo de Reurbanización de CDBG (RDF), el Programa de Riesgo Inmediato y Peligro (ITAD) y el Programa de Garantía de Préstamos 108.

The State of Georgia's Department of Community Affairs (DCA) is proposing to amend its current Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2018/State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2019 Method of Distribution (MOD) and to propose a new FFY 2019/SFY 2020 MOD for the State's Non-Entitlement Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs. The MOD affects the CDBG Annual Competition, the CDBG Employment Incentive Program (EIP), the CDBG Redevelopment Fund (RDF) program, the Immediate Threat and Danger (ITAD) Program, and the 108 Loan Guarantee program.

The next meeting of the Board of Community Affairs and the Georgia Housing and Finance Authority/ GHFA Economic Development Financing, Inc./ GHFA Affordable Housing, Inc. Joint Meeting are scheduled for Wednesday, November 14, at 10:30AM The meetings will take place in the Board Room of the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, located at 60 Executive Park South, NE, Atlanta, Georgia.

DCA has announced the following awards under the Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG), Shelter Plus Care (S+C) Support Services/Harm Reduction, and Housing Opportunity for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Programs for Fiscal Year 2019. The purpose of these programs is to deliver housing support and related services to persons defined as either: (1) “homeless” or “at risk of homelessness,” as (2) eligible “homeless” persons as defined under the S+C program, or as (3) “eligible persons” (lower income persons with HIV/AIDS) as defined for the HOPWA program.

GEORGIA'S  PROPOSED 2018-2022 CONSOLIDATED PLAN

The State of Georgia will host a public hearing to present its proposed 2018-2022 Consolidated Plan (Plan). The Plan was developed using a combination of needs assessments and stakeholder and resident feedback. The resulting Plan identifies housing and community development needs, complementary strategies for meeting housing and community development needs, and actions for affirmatively furthering fair housing in the state of Georgia.

The Department of Community Affairs (DCA) is announcing the 2018 application process for the Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) program and the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) program.  The ESG program is designed to provide housing or service resources with the goal of stable housing outcomes for eligible persons, as defined by the U.S.
