ATLANTA (August 6, 2020) – Governor Brian Kemp announced today that Georgia has received $3,711,928 in AmeriCorps funding from the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency responsible for AmeriCorps and other national service programs.

DCA has announced the following awards under the Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG), Shelter Plus Care (S+C) Support Services/Harm Reduction, and Housing Opportunity for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Programs for Fiscal Year 2019. The purpose of these programs is to deliver housing support and related services to persons defined as either: (1) “homeless” or “at risk of homelessness,” as (2) eligible “homeless” persons as defined under the S+C program, or as (3) “eligible persons” (lower income persons with HIV/AIDS) as defined for the HOPWA program.

The Georgia Housing and Finance Authority (GHFA) hereby notifies interested applicants of a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for funds allocated from the National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF) program for the construction, preservation or acquisition/rehabilitation of multifamily rental properties. All NHTF units will be targeted for use by Extremely Low-Income (ELI) households (incomes at or below 30% of area median).
