The CDBG-CV Applicants' Manual above applies to both application cycles. 

Round 1 Application Cycle - Food Banks - The Georgia Department of Community Affairs, Community Finance Division, as the designated administrator of the State of Georgia’s State CDBG and CDBG-CV programs plans to use the CARES Act funding to fund public assistance activities which includes the construction, rehabilitation or enhancement of public facilities which may include capital expenses for food banks.  To apply, visit https://gn.ecivis.com/GO/gn_redir/T/wp4nrnl29yj6The application deadline is November 19, 2021 by 11:59pm ET.

Round 2 Application Cycle - Public Facilities - The Georgia Department of Community Affairs, Community Finance Division, as the designated administrator of the State of Georgia’s State CDBG and CDBG-CV programs plans to use the CARES Act funding to fund public assistance activities which includes the construction, rehabilitation or enhancement of public facilities which may include capital expenses for food pantries and rural health care facilities.  To apply, visit https://gn.ecivis.com/GO/gn_redir/T/i3wjdh3quksjThe application deadline has been extended to December 30, 2021 by 11:59 ET.  

Rural health care facilities are defined as facilities located in non-entitlement communities offering health services and/or mental health services. Entitlement communities are not eligible to apply for this activity in round 2, but may apply for food pantry activities. 

The following communities have been identified as entitlement communities by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development:  

  1. Entitlements - Primarily urban cities (populations 50,000 +) and urban counties (populations over 200,000)
    1. The Cities of Albany, Atlanta, Brookhaven, Brunswick, Dalton, Gainesville, Hinesville, Marietta, Rome, Roswell, Sandy Springs City, Savannah, Smyrna City, Valdosta, and Warner Robins.
    2. The Counties of Cherokee County, Clayton County, Cobb County, DeKalb County, Fulton County, Gwinnett County, and Henry County.
    3. The Consolidated Governments of Athens/Clarke County, Augusta/Richmond County, Columbus Consolidated Government, and Macon/Bibb County.
    4. Any incorporated city within a HUD Entitlement Urban County that has chosen to participate with the Urban County through a Cooperating Agreement.
