DCA's process for allocating funds is outlined in the Qualified Allocation Plan. This document describes (1) the federal and state resources available for financing rental housing through the plan, (2) the legislative requirements for distributing these resources, (3) the State's preference for the location and type of such housing, (4) the process used for evaluating applications and awarding these resources, and (5) program compliance requirements and procedures.
The Georgia Initiative for Community Housing (“Initiative” or “GICH”) offers communities a three-year program of collaboration and technical assistance related to housing and community development. The objective is to help communities create and launch a locally-based plan to meet their housing needs.
Each August, DCA elects new Board officers. All DCA Board meetings are open to the public. Please park in one of the Visitor parking spaces in front of the building, and check in at the security desk in the building lobby.
