Lithia Springs Educator Buys First Home

Our Georgia Dream program provides down payment assistance for first-time home buyers. In our Keys to Success series, we’ve asked residents from all across Georgia share how they were able to accomplish their goal of securing the keys to their success and becoming homeowners!

Addalynn Calhoun was living at her parent’s house with her newborn son following her divorce. Working as an educator, she heard from her colleagues and Realtor about the Georgia Dream program. Now, she has the keys to her very own home.

Calhoun describes the experience to be filled with information but beneficial to her. When asked what the Georgia Dream program meant to her, she closed with, “It means the capability to own my own home while under [challenging] circumstances.”
