Announcements

In light of the COVID-19 crisis, the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) has extended the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) application deadline from April 10, 2020 to May 1, 2020.  The ARC is a partnership among thirteen states and the federal government; and provides funding for community and economic development projects in 37 counties of north Georgia.

Protecting the health and safety of AmeriCorps members, program staff, volunteers, and partners is CNCS' and the GA Commissions' top priority. We are continuing to closely monitor the situation and follow the latest guidance from federal, state, and local health departments.

In 1997, OCGA §36-81-3 established that the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) develop and maintain a Uniform Chart of Accounts (UCOA) for Local Governments for the purpose of standardization and uniformity in accounting and financial reporting across the state’s municipal, county, and consolidated governments. The initial document was released in 2001, with the knowledge that periodic updates would be necessary. The Third (current) Edition of this was released in December 2013.

Our phone system is back up and working once again! We are sorry for any inconvenience that this outage may have caused. Thank you.
