Georgia Open Records Act Requests

Under the Georgia Open Records Act (GORA), all public records are available for inspection and copying unless they are specifically exempted from disclosure under the law.

The Department of Community Affairs is committed to conducting its business in a manner that complies with all legal requirements, fosters citizen confidence in state government, and promotes efficient and effective government operations.

A request to inspect or copy records may be made either orally or in writing. However a written request is recommended to eliminate any dispute as to what was requested or when the request was made.

Requests should be addressed to:

GORA Coordinator
Georgia Department of Community Affairs
60 Executive Park South
Atlanta, GA 30329

You may also submit an online email request to the GORA Coordinator by clicking here.
