American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)

Program Description

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) was signed into law by President Obama on February 17, 2009. The Act includes measures to modernize the nation's infrastructure, enhance energy independence, expand educational opportunities, preserve and improve affordable health care, provide tax relief and protect those in greatest need. The Department of Community Affairs expects to receive these federal stimulus funds through six different funding streams including AmeriCorps Grants, Community Development Block Grants, Tax Credit Assistance Program, Tax Credit Exchange Grants, Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program, and the Neighborhood Stabilization Program.
