The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) developed the Home of Your Own Workbook to provide basic information about the purchase of a home and the responsibilities of homeownership. The book may be used to help families explore their options as a home buyer during a home buyer education seminar or an individual housing counseling session.

Additionally, through the Georgia Dream Homeownership Program, DCA provides affordable mortgage financing and closing cost assistance to low and moderate income homebuyers. Guidelines for the Georgia Dream Program are provided in this workbook.
