What are Cookies?

Internet Cookies are a small piece of data stored locally by your browser that saves information and helps identify you to web sites upon subsequent visits. It's very likely that cookies are already enabled on your browser. However, if you encounter problems, follow the instructions below to enable cookies.

Enabling Cookies

To enable cookies, you will need to know which version of Internet Explorer you are using. To find this information, Click Help --> About Internet Explorer. The version number likely starts with a 4, 5, or 6. Directions for each are below.

 

IE 6.x Client

  1. Go to Tools on the menu bar

  2. Click Internet Options

  3. Click the Privacy tab

  4. Make sure that the Privacy Setting for the Internet zone is set to Medium or lower

 

IE 5.x Client

  1. Go to Tool on the menu bar
  2. Pick Internet Options
  3. Click the Security tab
  4. Go to Internet
  5. Click "Custom Level"
  6. Find Cookie
  7. Click "enable"
  8. Click OK

 

IE 4.x Client

  1. Go to View on the menu bar
  2. Pick Internet Options
  3. Click the Advanced tab
  4. Go down to the Cookies section
  5. Click "Always Accept Cookies"
  6. Click OK
